Endodontics

At Holywell House we have two highly skilled Endodontists, if you are needing root canal treatment you can either refer yourself or we will happily accept a referral from your general dentist.

At the start of the treatment we use local anaesthetic to freeze the tooth so pain cannot be felt . A small hole needs to be made in the tooth, through which the space can be cleaned and filled. This is initially done using instruments and an electronic handpiece. We also use fine files to reshape the inside of your tooth. A barrier or rubber dam is placed around the tooth to isolate it from the rest of the mouth so you can relax your mouth. This prevents instruments bacteria and materials falling in to your mouth. Once the canals are clean a filling/dressing is normally placed. The treatment will be done over a couple of appointments depending on the personalised treatment plan. The success of this treatment isn’t usually 100% guaranteed although the endodontist will discuss this at the initial consultation.

The treatment option is offered for the following fees:

• Assessment £85.00 (if X-rays are taken this is an additional £85.00)

• Incisors – Individual quote supplied treatment from £550.00

• Premolars – Individual quote supplied treatment from £600.00

• Molars – Individual quote supplied treatment from £695.00
